I have much respect for GSR owners and there comments so this isn't just for ITR.. I'm getting my Supercharger installed in August in Atlanta, since there is no Dyno in my town. Basically, I want to know how the SC ITR owners feel about it, Will I have major problems. I'm going to be as safe as possible, but don't think i'm going to run a J&S anytime soon. My initial setup is complete, so just waiting for an install date.

Setup
AEM CAI, replaced by JR intake after install
Msd6btm, blaster ss coil, distributor
BKR7evx-11 NGK plugs (i'll let them gap them)
boost gauge, a/f gauge, B&M fuel pressure gauge........

Ohh one more thing,, What is your timing set at, i heard if you put the Timing where JR says to, It will be boggy down low??

Well, seeing as Jackson has already de-tuned it for you (the kit runs at 5.5 psi not 6+) theyve already done some of the work.

The dirty secret of the TypeR kit is that it doesnt produce numbers that are better than the GSR when blown. The super-flow head works against you.

If youre not going to get the J&S, you might wanna rig up a oil catch can as shown on the Endyn page - $100 or so in parts to take out potential detonation is cheap insurance.

Why replace the AEM ? Cant it be made to fit ?

Yes the AEM can be made to fit. I used to have the AEM on my JRSC type R. As of two days ago I took it out, becuase I found out that with a superhcarger, the AEM CAI creates way too much viscosity, and kills some hp. I just replaced it with a Comptech intake thats designed for a JR supercharged type R. Boy does it help!
Hey 00ITR006---if you have any questions on the supercharger on a type R, E-mail me. I can give you advise, and also put you into contact with some other supercharged type R's. Oh BTW type R will get more power then others if you only of the correct mods to get it working right. For some resason its like the supercharger come flawed, and we have to fix it, unlike others...

I admire your dedication to this board to be able to post whilst bleeding to death.

EQ's last dying thought: "Who's gonna feed the dogs after I'm gone?"

Dogs to each other: "You smell blood?"
